Goals

UI design

With this challenge I can tap into the unlimited potential of creative imagination while experimenting with fun ideas. Time management was a key factor to honing in on my interface design craft whist managing to study and work on pro bono projects. I also aim to develop a better motion design craft.

Day 1
Sign up page

DAY 1: Design Hint... Create a sign up page, modal, form, or app screen related to signing up for something. It could be for a volunteer event, contest registration, a giveaway, or anything you can image.

Day 2
Credit Card Checkout

DAY 2: Design Hint... Design a credit card checkout form or page. Don't forget the important elements such as the numbers, dates, security numbers, etc.

Day 3
Landing page

DAY 3: Design Hint... What's the main focus? Is it for a book, an album, a mobile app, a product? Consider important landing page elements (call-to-actions, clarity, etc.)

Day 4
Calculator

DAY 4: Design Hint... Design a calculator. Standard, scientific, or specialty calculator for something such as a mortgage? Is it for a phone, a tablet, a web app?

Day 5
App Icon

DAY 5: Design Hint... Design an app icon. What best represents the brand or product? Or is it incredibly unique? Does it look great at a distance and does it stand out when put on your home screen alongside other apps?

Day 6
User Profile

DAY 6: Design Hint... Design a user profile and be mindful of the most important data, names, imagery, placement, etc. Is it for a serious profile? A social profile? (It's up to you!)

Day 7
Settings page

DAY 7: A re-creation of one of my favorite game UI – Mass Effect (weapons load-out). I added some of my own touches including a weapon and confirm button highlights. Design Hint... Design settings for something. Is it for security or privacy settings? Game settings? What is it and what's important? (It's up to you!)

Day 8
404 Page

DAY 8: Design Hint... Design a 404 page. Does it suit the brand's style? Is it user-friendly? It might sound mundane, but not everything can be flash or glamorous. Every day millions of people will be landing on 404 pages. You have an opportunity to help them in a way that's useful and aesthetically pleasing (it's up to you!)

Day 9
Music Player

DAY 9: Design Hint... Design a music player. Consider the controls, placements, imagery such as the artist or album cover, etc. Also, consider the device type that's playing the music. A dashboard in a tour bus, a smart watch, or via a web browser. Each device type will have different requirements, features, and restrictions to consider.

Day 10
Social Share

DAY 10: Design Hint... Design a social share button/icon and be mindful of the size, imagery, placement, and purpose for sharing.

Day 11
Flash Message

DAY 11: Design Hint... Design a Flash Message with both the outcome for an error and success. Is it for a sign up form? A download/upload message? (As always, it's up to you!)
